Practice Gratitude

The practice of gratitude is one that demands a certain mindfulness of its disciples. Practicing gratitude means practicing awareness, and that means noticing each moment as it is a gift to us.

Earlier this evening I was sitting at the computer. Impatient, I started to feel stressed. Then I looked outside, instead of sitting frustrated at the computer, and noticed a small spider web in the corner of the office window. What a perfect reminder of the delicacy with which we should treat our work and the patience necessary to create what is useful.
